Lanolips

My lips are really dry, so I am always on the hunt for something to make them feel better. So I came across Lanolips and was lucky enough to get their products from a British online shop. 

Lanolips is an Australian Company. They produce creams with lanolin, which is said to help a lot with dry skin. Their products are not cheap, but I think they are worth it.

I ordered their normal 101 Ointment which should help all kinds of dry skin like chapped lips, ellbows and so on. I did not use this very often, but it feels good on the lips. Right now it is already in my clinic bag.

The second product I got is the Lemonaid Lip Aid. This should also exfoliate the lips. I use it every evening before I get to bed and it does not do wonders, but my lips really feel better.

I can really recommend this products. They feel great on the skin and also smell nice (I heard some lanolin products smell terrible). I think at least the 101 Ointment is nice to have on hands. Maybe I try their hand cream next.

New Make-up

Last week I treated myself to some new make-up. It is all from the drugstore and was very affordable.

The Catrice BB Cream is great. Finally a BB Cream that matches my skin color. Most BB creams are simply too dark for me. This one also feels nice on the skin and I am not all shiny at the end of the day.

The Essence powder is also gorgeous. It keeps my face matte, but does not look cakey. I really like the texture. I used both products the last days and finally like my make-up.

The sponge is a dupe of the Beauty Blender. I used it only once to test it and was not overly excited. Maybe I have to try this a bit more. But for the price it is okay. It does its job.

Shopping Trip

I know, I didn´t want to buy nail polish, but this nautical edition of P2 was just too cute. I really like the blue and can imagine an outfit with this two colors (already have plans for a matching dress). The brush was on sale and I am really surprised how well it works.

Make-up: Lips

I have to many lipsticks. Sometimes I can´t resist and buy one, even if I know I don´t need it. Don´t know what´s so special about lipcolor, but I think it´s all about the feeling. With lipstick on I feel more feminine and attractive.



1 - Lime Crime Styletto: Yes, this is a black lipstick. This is one of the colors I think I will almost never need, but I had to have it. Limecrime has great non-wearable colors. You want to have them although if you don´t want to wear them.

2 - A lipgloss I got for christmas. I am no big fan of glitter and not even of lipgloss, but sometimes even I need a little sparkle. So this stays.

3 - Rimmel: I wanted a new red and got this one. Almost never wear this now, since I have the superstay lipstick.

4 - P2 Wonderland lipgloss: I love this color. It looks so natural.

5 - Cheshire cat lipgloss: Bought out of fangirliesm.

6 - P2 Limited edition: What´s great about cheap lipsticks is that they are not so intense. So you can apply them quick in the morning. Wear this almost every day.

7 - Manhattan Limited edition: Don´t know when I bought this. At the moment I try to use it up, but often I am too lazy to use it.

8 - Lime Crime Retrofuturist: This is a great red, but because I have my superstay lipstick I don´t use it anymore.

9 - Maybelline: A simple lipgloss, because my boyfriend said, he likes glossy lips. I don´t, so I don´t wear this often.

10 - Hello Kitty: This is my favorite lipgloss. It looks really red, but not over the top.

11 - Artdeco: This is more of a berry color. I want to wear it more often, but it´s very intense and I don´t want to apply it every hour to look good.

12 - Maybelline: My superstay lipstick. I love it. Wearing red lips and eating without looking like an idiot afterwards. And my boyfriend likes it too, because he is allowed to kiss me.

Make-up shopping

Today I shopped some make-up, two eyeshadow sets and a lipstick. The nail polishes were also tempting, but I was a good girl and resisted.

But I couldn´t resist the eyeshadow with the name "Ballerina". I know that they mean the shoes, but I love ballet so I simply tell myself they mean the dancer. The eyeshadows are different types of brown. I think they look really good for daily use.
Stiletto has four types of green which look really good. Can imagine this for day and evening make-up. Both eyeshadows are by Manhattan & Buffalo.
The lipstick is a bright red which looks a bit glossy on the lips. It is by Mayebelline. I really like the feeling on the lips. The smell is a bit too intense for my like. I like that it looks bright, but more like a gloss, so that I can wear it for work.

Make-up: Eyes

Mostly I lay my focus on the lips so I have not so many eye things, but in the last time I try to experiment a bit.



My two eyeliners are very old and I don´t use them much. Same goes for the Alverde eyeliner gel. I recently bought a Artdeco eyeliner. Maybe I post a review of it as soon as I used it a bit more often. I am really a novice with eyeliner. Often I only use eyeshadow to do the job.
The eyeshadow base is a must if I wear eyeshadow the whole day. It does not hold all day, but definitely longer.



1 - H&M eyeshadow palette: Great for daily make-up. There is a little how-to on the back and I think it looks really good.

2 - P2 Wonderland collection: I like green for the eyes. Don´t use this much, but sometimes I need a little color.

3 - Manhattan Limited edition: I use this a lot, because it is applied fast in the morning and looks good. I have the matching nail color for both shades.

4 - Artdeco: I am still getting used to this. The color is really intense, which is good for an evening make-up, but not for the day. I hope that Artdeco will release some new shades that I like in the future.

New Nail polish

While I hunted for the Better than Gel nails set, I bought some of the Essence nail polish that will got out of the sortiment soon. Normally I am no big fan of glitter, but these looked so nice. But getting it off is hard work.

Review: Essence Better than gel nails

Essence recently launched a new product called Better than gel nails. I had the luck to grab the last set at my local drogery store. The set contains the nail tips, a nail file, nail tip glue, base sealer, top sealer and remover.

Applying: It was not so hard as imagined. The tip size was okay. I only had the problem, that I needed the same size for two fingers. The gluing was a bit fiddle, but even me could manage it. Next steps were easier. All in all it was a bit time consuming. Perfect for a weekend.

Wearing: At first I was not so happy with the look. For me French nails look a bit extreme. Normally I wear bright colors. So this is a personal thing. Wearing was okay. I had no strange feeling with the tips.
At the package they say, it holds up to 10 days. I applied it at a Saturday. The first nail tip came off Wednesday. At Friday I had to take off the rest. I think a week is not so bad, especially with all the things I make with my hands. Office life can be really cruel to nails and sewing too.

Taking off: This was a bit annoying, but all in all easy. It take a bit longer than they wrote, but after 10 minutes all was off. The nails and fingers felt a bit strange afterwards.

In the end for 10 € I am very satisfied with this product. It looks good several days. Wearing was not unnerving like I feared. So I will use them again, if our shops ever get the nail tips, because you need new ones every time.

Make-up: Basics

These are the things I use for the basics.



So at first I have to admit I use no real make-up but cream with a bit coloring. I like it more than real make-up, because it´s lighter. At the moment I try to use up the Nivea one. I really like the one by Bebe. It feels so light.



These are the things I use almost daily. When I have no time to bother with foundation I use only powder, for the eyes a bit mascara and leaving the eyeshadow and of course a bit rouge to look healthy (my skin is so pale I really look a bit ill if I don´t add rouge). I found this rouge a while ago in a sale and I love the color. It looks so natural on my face.



The brushes are by ecotools. They are really great. They are so easy to handle and I am very satisfied with the results.

Make-up: Nail polish

I thought, maybe it would be fun, to show you what I have in my make-up bag. And because I am all into nail polish for now quite a while, I start with my nail colors.

I love their nail polishes. They have so many colors and the usage is quite good for the price.

The polishes are okay. I like the fun names and the sometimes unusual colors.

I think I am a nail polish addict. There are so many nice colors. Best thing is, I really use them.

Graffiti Nails

I really love to color my nails. Unfortunately I often don´t have time for it. Last weekend I discovered a new nail polish. You have to apply a base color and then add the nail top. The result is a kind of marble effect.
