Holiday 2011 - Day Four

Bye, bye Baltic Sea

hello Meyenburg

Meyenburg is a little city in Brandenburg. Here is a little castle with a fashion museum. Our hotel was really great. The rooms were so nice and comfortable and the food is so good. I could have stayed here only for the hotel. And the hotel was only a little distance from the museum.

In the afternoon we walked a bit in the park and took photos. I wore my 40s (house) dress. This too I finished right before our holiday. The weather was a dream. It was sunny and warm. I was a bit sad that we had to leave the seaside when there was the first warm day, but it was worth it for the hotel.

Holiday 2011 - Day Three

The weather was really nasty. It was cold and it rained a lot. But we were at the beach for some time. I wore my 30s beach pajama by Wearing History patterns. I made finished it the day before we went. Sewing it was not very difficult. And I really like the fabric. I got it for in the sale for only 3 EUR/m. It was much fun to stroll at the beach in this outfit. The sand was so nice and soft.

It´s sad that all the things you can visit here are very expensive. So we stayed indoors most of the day. My boyfriend made a segway tour. And we took a long walk at the beach and in the city. There was a huge shoe sale, but only my boyfriend bought some shoes. If it was not for the weather it was a nice day.

Holiday 2011 - Day Two

The weather was not better this day. So we went to the house that is upside down. It was advertised as a good place to make photos. The inside was very cool, but there were so many people that it was not so much fun. This was a general problem here. Everywhere were too many people.

We did take some pictures in and outside of the house. And we had quite some fun with the giant ant.

In the afternoon we visited the beach. It was a bit cold, so we didn´t stay there long. But I really liked the view of the ocean. It´s very impressive.

I wore my new vintage hat. It came right for the holiday. I really love this hat. You can wear this with many outfits. The rest of my clothes was quite new. The sun was unfortunately not impressed by my bright colors.

Holiday 2011 - Day One

Wednesday we started our holiday trip. First station was Ahlbeck at the Baltic Sea.

Our way was very relaxed. We were there really fast and without many problems. Our appartment was okay. Nothing fancy, but enough for the price.

After the arrival we bought some food nearby.

The rest of the day we relaxed. The weather was not very nice unfortunately, so we couldn´t go to the beach.

Shopping Trip

I went for a little shopping trip to buy some things for our holiday. First some fabric for these two cuties:





I hope to finish them till tomorrow.

Then I was at H&M to buy some underwear and maybe a cardigan. They had a huge sale and as you can see I got no cardigan.










The jacket and the bag I already admired when they were new. But almost 50 EUR for the jacket were way too much. Now they are mine. The top is a good basic. Then I also bought a brown belt and at least some underwear.

Summer party

My boyfriends rod and gun club had a summer party last weekend. Of course I had to dress up a bit. I finished my 1947 dress in time and wore it with my cute little 40s hat. The pattern is Vogue 8728. It was very comfortable to wear.

The party was quite okay. I had fun to amuse myself about the uniforms. On the one side I like the vintage feeling but on the other they look a bit ridiculous. My boyfriend won the second place at the shooting competition.

Vintage Patterns: The 70s

Although the 70s are not my favorite decade I think some of the styles are really nice. I like the long flowing dresses in soft colors and the cute short simple dresses. Some things are a bit funny, but that makes them even better.



Simplicity 7434 - Some years ago I bought a original 70s dress. I ever thought it was selfmade and now I discovered the exact pattern. I am not sure if I make one, because I already have this, but it was too tempting to have the pattern.

Simplicity 8746 - I got this for a good price and had to have it. The dress is great for summer and I think it will be easy to sew. I like the different collars. Maybe I even make the trousers.

Simplicity 5525 - Another fun pattern. Want to make a leotard for ballet out of this.

Simplicity 5465 - Don´t know why I bought this. It somehow caught me. For me it´s one of the funny things, because of the apron. But it´s so cute. Maybe I really make this.

Simplicity 8199 - I want this for summer. It would be so much fun to wear this while sitting in the garden after a fresh up in the river (I love swimming in the river). I like the trousers too, my boyfriend might like them even more.
